It is currently reccomended adults take part in moderate exercise such as brisk walking for 2 and a half hours per week in order to cut the risk of diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. However a study undertaken by Professor Conrad Earnest has discovered that doing just half of that can improve health. The study used 3 groups of people who were to exercise at 50%, 100% and 150% of the reccomended exercise guideline and the results found that even those who did just 50% improved their metabolic syndrome risk. Indicating that even a small amount of exercise goes a long way to improving health.
